Tasoula Antoniou Katsiami: Managing Director

Tasoula Katsiami (Dip TEFL, BA TEFL, MA Education, PhD Candidate) teaches English for exams to high school students as well as English for Adults at U-learn.  She has had a very long experience in the education field starting from the UK, as part of her teaching training.  She worked at Pakeman and Coleridge Primary school as a teaching assistant and at Westminster College as an EFL teacher for levels A1-B1. After graduating in 1991, she was employed at College Melkart, Limassol Cyprus in the primary sector.  From 1993 to 2009 she continued her career as a primary 3rd grade teacher at St Mary’s school, Limassol, Cyprus, a private language school in Cyprus.  At the same time she has had various publications in education magazines (Junior Focus, Teaching Primary) on the independence of language learning, on motivating techniques for young learners and on what is motivation for teenage learners.  She is a member of the Cyprus Teachers of English Association (CyTea) and International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language. (IATEFL).  She is also a Speaking Examiner for the Cambridge IELTS. In 2009 she founded her own private institute, U-Learn Education Centre. She has been an active teacher-educator and has always managed to be updated with the profession as she has always attended various seminars, webinars, workshops, lectures, education fairs, both locally and abroad. Learning for life is her motto and during her teaching, she takes every opportunity to allow students ownership and autonomy of learning.

Antonis Katsiamis

Antonis holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Linguistics from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge. With two years of teaching experience at Ulearn, he has developed a deep passion for helping students succeed. Antonis is known for his disciplined approach to teaching, always ensuring a focused and engaging learning environment. His dedication to his students’ happiness is at the heart of his philosophy, as he strives to make learning as enjoyable and effortless as possible. Antonis’ commitment to creating a positive and effective classroom experience makes him a valued member of the Ulearn team.

 

Raphaella Demetriou

Raphaella is a fully qialified, engaging and experienced English Teacher. She has been teaching children of young ages to adults for the past 10 years. Graduated from Lancaster University in 2014 where she obtained her Bachelors degree in English Language and Linguistics.  She is also a certified trainer of vocational training. She attended seminars and workshops on teaching methods for adults and children in order to expand her knowledge and learn new skills. “To teach is to touch a life forever”. Teaching to her must be growth minded and life giving.

 

 

 

Svetlana Kavrakova 

Svetlana is a qualified philologist/linguist with more than 15 years of experience in teaching Russian and English to primary and secondary school grades in private institutes, and undertaking freelance private lessons. She is fluent in Russian , Bulgarian , Greek and English. In addition she is a freelance Translator in English and Russian. Acted as interpreter to various clients, such as law firms, property firms and others.
Svetlana teaches Russian to all ages and levels A1, A2, B1 and B2 according to the CEFR standard( Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) in private Institutes in Limassol. She has an experience from the Adult Education Centres, Limassol, Cyprus / Επιμορφωτικά Κέντρα Λεμεσού.

She has obtained a Bachelor  degree of Science – Pedagogy of teaching Russian and English to primary and Secondary school grades, and a Master of Science- Russian Linguistics.
